5 atmospheric pressure experiments

Most atmospheric pressure experiments show how large the external atmospheric pressure is by decompressing. This time, the air pressure inside the straw increases, and it is an experiment to support the straw and see that even potatoes can penetrate with the straw.

experiment 1: Let's pierce the potato with a straw under the pressure of air.

you need : straws, potatoes

The experiment itself is very easy, and if you stab a straw into a potato, it will break in the middle. All you have to do is hold it with your thumb so that the air does not escape from the top and push the straw as hard as you can. You can also penetrate to the other side. Please do not poke your finger holding the potato. I will be injured.

This is because the air inside the straw is compressed, which increases the air pressure and prevents the straw from being deformed by external forces. It's kind of like that, but it's powerful when you do it right in front of you.

Experiment 2: Crushing empty cans

It loses the power of large-scale drum crushing and itto-kan crushing, but I am impressed by the fact that screw cans crush it so far.

you need : screw cans, heating appliances, water tanks, work gloves

Make a hole of about 3 to 5 mm in the lid of the screw can. Add a small amount of water and heat it so that steam is actively emitted. Place the can upside down in a water tank filled with water. It's amazingly crushed.

Of course, you can do it with an ordinary beverage can.

Experiment 3: Marble cup fishing

you need : plastic cups, plastic sheets, gum tape, marbles

Put a few marbles in a plastic cup and place a sheet cut into squares. Press lightly to push out the air inside. The air pressure inside becomes smaller. Then lift it to lift the cup. It will be exciting if you do it against the team. If you notice the special move of soaking the edge of the glass with water to eliminate the gap and make it adhere, you can easily lift about 10 pieces. It is easier to lift by cutting the file that contains the documents.

Experiment 4: Easy Magdeburg Hemisphere

you need : 2 kitchen balls (metal), paper, match

Prepare two metal balls. Place a piece of paper soaked in water on the edge of the ball in a donut shape. Burn things inside and immediately cover with two balls. It cannot be removed by pulling it with both hands.

experiment5: Board that cannot be taken

you need : Underlay, gum tape, water

This is also a very simple experiment. Attach the handle to the underlay with gum tape. All you have to do is put it on your desk and pull it. If it comes off quickly, moisten it with water to eliminate the gap. It cannot be taken due to the difference in atmospheric pressure and the pressure inside the underlay.
